The energy companies need to follow a set calculation for monthly DD payments. I've battled and now left @OVO as they tried to increase our DD payments when we were already in credit. They wouldn't explain to me how they calculated the new payment. They have something to hide.
I go to our local spoons where they queue. I stand at the bar and wait my turn. People often grumble but I just say I don't need to queue to know when it's my turn. Not rocket science ffs

They'll never release how they calculate it. Which is very dodgy, showing they have something to hide. Annual usage divided by 12 at your unit price plus standing chrage. @ofgem need to get hold of this as OVO seem to be making it up as they go along to their benefit and not the customers. @OVO .
If you go to uSwitch you can see what they think you should actually be paying per month to cover your annual usage. Then go to OVO and explain that is what you are paying and if they resist go the ofgem and force them. They're robbing you to save their funding costs.
Yeah it's fixed price per unit etc but suddenly OVO decides they want you in credit at the end of winter. Which is not how it works. Deficit in winter/spring surplus in summer/autumn. They're blatantly using good payers to fund their cashflow. Disgusting.
@bloomunky.bsky.social I've swapped to a fixed deal from OVO to fuse energy. It's saved me £19/month and is fixed until April 27. So orange face can do what he wants it won't cost me anymore. Like you I was tired of arguing with @ovo every time they randomly upped my monthly payment.
He said within 2 weeks they'd make a nuclear attack. Despite saying 9 months ago he'd wiped out their nuclear capability that would take years to rebuild. He's a liar cos one of them statements can't be right if the other is wrong.
