Friday is my day off to spend with the small child. He sometimes falls asleep in the car on the school run so all there is to do is sit and have some rare time to myself. I think most of my personal reflection happens behind my steering wheel.
Reminded me of having my mind blown as an NQT when someone told me that I didn’t have to ‘stand and deliver’ at the front, but could ‘facilitate learning’ and sit back and watch what happens. It’s frightening how much the former happens in lessons, even in 1-1 environments.
Listening to @drshelleymoore.bsky.social as part of the @texthelp festival of inclusivity today. She could genuinely be saying words that don’t make sense and I’d be hooked on her passion and enthusiasm. 😍 loving the points about how we get *students* to make adjustments - not the teachers
Sometimes I worry about how much time my 7 year old spends online. But his general knowledge combined with his digital skills astound me every day. I’ve never learned how to shade like that!
