Absolutely loved @thenewsagents.com live. But shame on @royalalberthall.bsky.social for placing merch stall in a place inaccessible to wheelchairs. Means I STILL donβt have a copy of @jonsopel1.bsky.social Strangeland, signed or otherwise!
Looking forward to @thenewsagents.com at @royalalberthall.bsky.social this afternoon. Expecting wit, wisdom and insight from @jonsopel1.bsky.social @lewisgoodall.com and @maitlis.bsky.social
I know. But there is a big difference between being able to self-administer and putting everything in place. Even arguing that feels uncomfortable but, given I struggle to make a cup of tea, itβs not hard to imagine.
Instinctively, I donβt like it. However, I also fundamentally disagree with removing options from people because they have an illness or a disability. Without those limitations, they would be able to choose to take their own life. Iβm not sure the state is entitled to overrule that choice. So hard.
Glad to see the power of bystandership being championed by @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social today following the govtβs pledge to make spiking a specific offence.
This comes with promises to improve training, reporting and strengthen victim support and public safety.

There should be a special place in hell for retailers that target regular customers with "special deals" that are immediately followed with better Black Friday deals.
I got caught this year by a retailer I've bought from every Christmas for 15 years. How does that encourage customer loyalty?!
Fancy seeing you here!
Hoping this is the start of a wonderful new adventureβ¦
