Also played this demo last night. Left me with some mixed feelings. The visuals are gorgeous, the music is moody, and I think the gameplay has potential, but the one boss fight did not feel good to me. I'll be seeing how this one develops too.

Just played through the demo for this indie platformer last night. The slice you get is very expansive. It's very promising, the platforming is excellent and the visuals/music are stunning. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it as it develops more.

Godflesh absolutely stand as one of my favorite live acts I've ever seen, and I'm happy we have what we do from the Godflesh discography. Whatever Justin makes in the future with Jesu or any other project, I will absolutely be there to engage with every second of it.
As bitter a pill as the news was to swallow, I'm glad Justin is putting his health first by putting Godflesh to bed. It probably comes as no surprise that he's a strong musical and artistic inspiration for me, and I feel so lucky to have seen Godflesh live when I could.
Also the boss fights I wasn't too hot on are much improved now, like they got some BIG changes (won't go into detail because spoilers)
Fraud got patched a couple days ago and now my game is no longer ready to die with every projectile boost, thank you dev team for your hard work
Still have some minor performance issues in rooms with a lot of enemies but I imagine those'll be ironed out in time

These performance issues have been very consistently reported from many players. Fortunately, the devs are currently working on fixing it. I really hope the fix goes smoothly, since I really want to love Fraud as much as I think I could. Performance is really the biggest hurdle for me rn.
The base update has also seriously impacted performance. In 8-2 and 8-3, it's effectively unplayable. 8-1 doesn't fare much better. But performance drops are also affecting all layers, not just Fraud. I even had the framerate tank in 0-1 when just projectile boosting.
On the other hand, the boss fights are... not my favorite. One is too easy, and another has a gimmick I just don't like. The levels are also extremely buggy with the gravity flipping, leading to very easy ways to break progression or get out of bounds.
Some of the introduced enemies are genuinely great as a new challenge. I'm still not quite used to Providences, but Powers and Deathcatchers really shake things up nicely. I'm curious to how they'll be used in Treachery.
On one hand, the level gimmicks are absolutely inspired. The amount of non-euclidean nonsense genuinely fucked with my head in a way I didn't experience in a game since The Escher Labs in Dusk. It made for some excellent level design choices.
Gonna ruin y'all's feeds by being an Ultrakill nerd really quick. As you may have heard from your annoying Ultrakill friend, Fraud dropped yesterday. It's left me with some pretty complicated feelings so far.
And don't even think to come at me intentionally obtuse about Davidson owing these men an apology. No one's asking him to apologize for his disability, but for the harm he caused, intentionally or not.
The fact that the BBC left this in but edited out a "free Palestine," the fact that these men still have not received a genuine apology for the harm and embarrassment, during Ramadan AND Black History Month, all combine in a way that starts to feel intentional
