As of @toontownrewritten.com live release ttr-live-v4.3.0e, we have worked around the issue with sound on Mac’s running Apple Silicon and macOS 26. If you want to upgrade you can do so now. Thanks for your patience!
For the more technically minded out there, Apple made a change to the sound frameworks we use for the Mac version of the game in a way that game can't handle well. Not to worry, we some great Tech Toons on this situation!
We're working on fixing this soon, so you can get the full Toontown experience! At this time, we recommend playing on macOS 15 Sequoia until it is resolved. For those of you on Intel Macs, you can safely upgrade.
Hey @toontownrewritten.com players! At the moment, the game is playable on macOS Tahoe (26). However, there is a known issue which means most sound effects will not work if you play on a Mac that has an Apple Silicon processor.
Please remember that Jeopardy! Is syndicated and airs at different times depending on the market (plus time zone differences), so no spoilers please 🙏
