im legit so salty cuz im not going to lie, I love beastars but the shading on their models is SHIT. Melon looks like he has a beard half the time and sometimes so does louis cuz apperantly they dont know how light would hit a lower jaw? so they just shade it as a whole?? like??

Yes actually, I struggle a lot with gender and in my body type that im basically trapped in but you drawing such shapes in such a nice way often made me feel its all okay! Its made me very emotional when i first saw your art for sure, in a good way 💕

This is irrelevant for your case but maybe interesting to see, one of my boys had sludge so thick he needed bladder medication for the rest of his life (piggies are notorious for sludge and stones xnx)

His bladder looks super healthy btw! I hope he manages to pee out the stone soon, keepin all my fingers crossed 🤞

Its a decent size but not impossible for him to pass it, sometimes ultrasound can be hard to see these, esp since sometimes the view can just be blocked xnx also im not sure if im seeing it right but he doesnt have to be under gas/anesthetics to take pictures! c:

Ah that is horrible.. stones are so hard to deal with with boars :c i could only advise to ask the vet if they think oxybutynine (muscle relaxer so it opens urethra) and Hydrochloorthiazide (flushes the bladder) could do anything for him. This depends on where the stone is and if its small enough ;;

Painkiller like meloxicam is no problem to give a lil longer if your piggy shows pain or discomfort but if you are unsure id call and ask! ;; i hope your lil man will soon feel all better

Ohhhh then im not worried at all! Usually they know what they are doing! Could just be stress and age then for sure! Id still recommend wheat grass powder to mix with the water as it helps the intestines too <3

Also if you can get your hands on it, the combur/chemstrips for urine are a blessing to own. I can help read those too. But often times i found out one of my babies was doing bad through those. (Usually lost mine to colic, cancer or acidification which the latter gets picked up by those strips)

Just be careful with water, like as long as you see him swallow its usually fine, i generally mix it with pure wheat grass powder as it also serves as probiotic and thickens the water c:

Meloxicam is perfect tho! It helps with pain, should be the one for dogs (1,5mg) and dosage around 0,2-1,0ml/kg depending on weight and painlevel.

I dont really know much about the medicine mentioned, is it a vet that mostly does cats n dogs or one specialized in guinea pigs? Usually Hydrochloorthiazide and Oxybutynine is given for stones but if those worked.. im mostly asking cuz normal vets usually also get dosage wrong!

The water is okay! Its just that guinea pigs can easily get it in their lungs with force feeding it. You can listen yourself if you lay your ear against their chest but if he doesnt make weird noises breathing i wouldnt worry too much.

No worries I understand! Bladder problems are very common and very stubborn in guinea pigs, its good the stone is gone tho! What type of meds did they give him? And what is his age?

Fellow guinea pig owner here with quite a bit of knowlegde over the years, it's really hard with these lil potatoes to find out whats wrong tbh, whats going on with your cutie if you wanna share?
