Yes, this would be difficult to prove. However, w/harsher repercussions in place, it should be enough to deter most people.

Denying adequate treatment to those struggling w/suicidal thoughts due to mental illness is a form of abuse. We shouldn’t turn a blind eye to these situations because when we look for our loved ones, they could be gone. Avoiding involvement could mean memories are the only way to see our loved ones.
It’s a shame that suicide due to mental illness needs to be a skeleton in the closet of those struggling because of the possible repercussions from society, the authorities, and the medical community. This will eventually cause those skeletons to leave the closet and enter a coffin.
