Currently watching a 3 hour video about how to learn, and after 40 minutes we are still yet to learn any sort of method. Rather the video has squabbled about “the point of this video is learning” while not speaking about learning beyond the concept of mastery vs regurgitation.

Currently a player in a godless campaign (5E 2014) with two other players, a DM for a high fantasy home brew setting (5E 2014) with 7 players, a DM for Curse of Strahd with 5 players, and wanting to write homebrew classes. And I still feel like I don’t do enough TTRPGing. Might start PF2e.

Yeah kinda a glaring reason I’ve learned more norsk than Danish even though I’ve put more effort into Danish. Pronunciation in Danish feels more strange due to random silent consonants but I have Danish friends so I want to try.
I have a bunch of Danish friends. Only one thinks I should learn it… and she is immigrating there and isn’t local… so I think I’m all for all in hearing people shouldn’t learn it.
Not me flexing my language learning in DND as a DM. And getting my friends in on some specific pronunciations like I’m a super under qualified teacher.
Games are usually dead by daylight and counter strike. But I wouldn’t mind engaging in some more casual traditional media so I’ll check out Kaj og Andrea. Doing a bit of both is probably good.
Personally I just watch YouTube videos of Danish people playing games together. Cause inherent entertainment, and while I don’t know what exactly is said, it gives realistic conversational flow. Although miles being 7.6km instead of 1.6km in some parts of Denmark will be forever strange.

All of the above, I would love to go for academic or professional reasons but don’t think I have skill sets worth it in any of their eyes haha. Alas I must be a tourist, but if I could I’d go a year or two and work overseas, count me in.
Also news and media is, not exclusively, the mediums I was talking about. AI and people both suck on the 2025 internet from a population of poor reporters and false intellectuals with the cherry that is AI.

Tragically, when you try learn stuff through any medium nowadays written by Man or AI it seems to be composed of a ton BS. World kinda sucks right now because of it all. Fake intellectuals and reporters reporting outside their understanding, some shit might be written genuinely yet without truth.

How long must it be mainstream? Cause Lol’s inception was in the mid 1980’s. And was put into a dictionary in 2003. It’s been 22 years since it was put in a dictionary. And is still very much used verbally. (Although I wish it wasn’t to an extent haha)
It’s a bird app clone, if I needed to write articulate essays for every single post I would have started by asking the tuition rate. Beyond that you came out the gate swinging and even now respond with similar tone. You don’t have to assume every comment is a slight at your beliefs.

Rather than just a general comment on how even when we leave the area of AI we still have to maneuver through misinformation and bullshit. I’m talking about the state of the internet and all other mediums we use to learn things. AI is obviously worse in this aspect… which I never disagreed.
I’m not working now, so I can respond. Yeah the point was incorrect bullshit is everywhere, yes AI is worse but the point was that a Google search isn’t much better in its immediately obtained information without critical thought and analysis. Crazy that you took my comment as supportive of AI.
