I haven't really advertised it that hard but I do have a community discord I'm hoping to grow. If you want to hang out, chat and or be involved feel free to drop in.

I'm going to stop staring at the dashboard though because it only gets me anxious and the first few hours are not at all an indicator of how it might do in due time
I'm a bit skeptical the Nine Sols video will perform well because it's a lot less popular of a game than Celeste and doesn't hold a candle against the LOTR franchise. Also the ridiculous length of the last videos probably helped sell it. Either way I love the game and we'll have to see where it goes
I'm really proud of this thumbnail. Usually I don't mind if it looks a bit scuffed because I think there's a lot of charm to just having something you made yourself. But the actual drawing part of this one turned out pretty sick imo
How Speedrunners Break Nine Sols
www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNCz...
Premiering in 2.5 hours. A technical breakdown of the Nine Sols speedrun, my favorite game of 2024. Not as ridiculously long as my past works but I put more polish on it than ever before.
New vid tomorrow, 45 minutes long. Debating if I want to use the yt premiere or just send it raw
Yeah it's rough on performance but the convenience is still enough for me. There's a lot you can do in terms of optimizing your compositions but it's not all that intuitive and all manual. Wouldn't recommend it to everyone but it's still worth it for me.
usually keeping a node graph organized feels like an uphill battle so it's really satisfying when you get a clean looking one
it's peak
still going really strong on the next video and I'm actually super close to finishing it. I just have to add the intro/outro and tiny bit of polish then it's on to final reviews/tweaks.

Big fan of Fred Mug's stuff fredsounds.bandcamp.com/album/match
Nevermind, I added a few things and now my 10 second segment is estimated to take 20 minutes to render and it's still counting up. Yikes
I think I managed to optimize my node graph enough to make it manageable. Just don't ask me to show it...
my pc is fighting for its life trying to edit complex motion graphics at 4k 60fps, this may have been a mistake
love that another windows update managed to overhaul the constantly regressing start menu that I just barely managed to make functional before. cant wait to try to deshittify it all over again
It's silly but this little social game/productivity app called gogh: focus with your avatar has been doing wonders for staying more disciplined. You can hardly interact with other people on it but seeing other avatars and knowing they are also trying to focus is nice when I'm alone at my desk.
Just rendered the rough cut which is another 500gb. This is becoming a problem...
(I'm rendering it at super high quality out of davinci resolve then properly encoding it with handbrake)
damn dude anyone got any good news recently?
Making huge progress on the next video. Been meaning to start this year off right and so far that's going well.
Silksong was great, cohesive and very satisfying to beat but for me that left a lot of things feeling "samey". Expedition 33 instead was a lot more memorable for me thanks to that extra bit of variation. It's a tough comparison under any metric but going off my gut I just feel better about e33.
It doesn't matter at all but I can't stop thinking about the Expedition 33 vs Silksong for GOTY debate. A lot of people state Silksong just being too difficult for your average gamer, but what's swaying my opinion is that e33 wasn't afraid to let off the gas and just be fun at times.
The times the game did challenge me was when I went extremely out of order and those times were great. The story, characters and world still held the experience together too so I'm not too upset about it but it definitely would have made it a next level experience for me.
Finished expedition 33 and loved it. The one thing I really just wish was that it was more balanced. I played expert and still past a certain point I could not lose anymore and eventually just one shot everything. No guides or anything just taking a little bit of extra time tweaking my builds.
Mixed feelings because it could have been much better had it not been for some Gathering jank, but I did get a significant new hobbit wr www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCz9...
thank you for the kind words gamer :)
that's right
The tournaments VODs are now on YouTube with intermissions and downtime cut out. If you missed it live I highly recommend you give it a watch. I couldn't have scripted some of these moments even if I tried.
