I remember seeing this movie on television once as a kid and immediately being captivated, but it never came on for years later. Then AMC or TMC did a Ghibli screening with the entire Miyazaki collection on TV one week because Spirited Away had blown up. Such amazing movies.

It looks absolutely gorgeous and, of course, the story is captivating. Love the “perverse Shinto ritual gone wrong” aspect of the series. I really do hope this means a new title is on the way, it’s really good crossmarketing for them to drop these at the same time as the Silent Hill renaissance.
