somehow i have never gone to gdc before so i can’t say much about convos there HAHA but generally speaking my convos are pretty siloed and compartmentalized yeah, since my day job is an analyst.

with the caveat that i obviously have a different context than someone who lives here the politics were surprisingly decent i would say, definitely a few moments of “oof ow liberalism” but nothing approaching how bad it is in the states rn (the reason for my crashout)

i actually almost burst into tears like 5 times it was pretty bad i’m going through some kind of extended grieving process driven by my political science degree i guess

had a quiet internal leftist crashout at the EPIC emigration museum in dublin seeing them celebrate all these political achievements and resistance to oppression and knowing that the shithead nation state i’m flying back to tomorrow is ripping apart the global political stage with a crowbar
