I'm really happy to finally embrace the route of the 'alternative academic' scientist!

Currently onboarding international clients for spring/summer 2026. Inquiries via DM/email.

My specialities: Ecology (plants, microbes, soils), Biodiversity, Conservation, Agriculture, Eco-Evo, Writing (5/5)

So much expertise is lost from academia because scientists hit their relocation limit (like I did). So, I'm turning this systemic bottleneck into an opportunity. By building a consultancy in Trondheim that consolidates my 9 years of international postdoc experience, I stay in the field I love. (4/5)

Many PIs or institutes have small pools of 'leftover' funds that aren't enough to hire a 2-year salaried postdoc with overhead and benefits, but are suited for a professional service with a defined scope, fee, and high return on investment (i.e., rescuing an abandoned manuscript or dataset). (3/5)

I close the loop on an evergreen problem in academia: high-quality projects stall when temporary employees move on or commitments pile up. Most PIs are too stretched to find the large blocks of deep-focus time needed to finalize these old projects. I provide that focus as an external partner. (2/5)

I'm excited to announce that I've officially launched Electric Flora 🌿✨, a scientific consultancy specializing in Manuscript Rescue. I help PIs turn stalled datasets into high-impact publications through focused service purchase blocks. Read on for my consultancy vision... (1/5)

Land use change can affect both species diversity and evolution within species🌍🐿️

We find that evolutionary response to land use change can be masked in the field by phenotypic plasticity, revealing hidden adaptation to global changeπŸ‘‡οΈ

Have you heard about countergradient variation? We found it plays a role in plant response to grassland land use change: phenotypic plasticity masks evolutionary response to grazing abandonment! @erc.europa.eu @journalofecology.bsky.social
