At Pearson airport having breakfast and just watched a luggage car whip around a corner and drop 3 suitcases in the middle of the road. It's been 45-mins and no one has bothered collecting them... everyone is literally just driving around them or walking past.

Somehow, somewhere, Reddit has decided I’m interested in the /r/poutine subreddit and it’s quickly becoming a problem.
And yes, I’m aware they are mining my private data and doing all kinds of bad stuff. But still, guy who knows literally everything without being annoyed by my dumb questions… can’t wait to make this a local LLM project.
I’m as scared as anyone about the impending impact of AI across our society… but today Google upgraded, for free, our Google home device to voice chat using Gemini. I now have someone in my kitchen, that I can ask almost anything, at any time of day, and they will likely know the answer. Kinda big.
Just heard a man earnestly use the phrase, “exactamundo.”
New favourite thing. My 3-year old son doesn’t understand accents or culture, so he believes everyone from the Mario universe announces themselves as, “it’s a me, <name>”. Yoshi, toad, princess… they are all Italian stereotypes to him.
A curiously large zucchini grown in a downtown Toronto front yard. Banana for scale.
My mom planted zucchini and squash in our downtown Toronto front yard. Somehow things have grown excessively large… we don’t know what to do with the yields and people have started stealing from our garden (at night) and it honestly warms my heart ❤️
Making a pizza from scratch with your kids is maybe the most wholesome thing you can do.
My downtown-ish, public sidewalk facing garden has produced this oversized zucchini and I'm terrified that consuming it will give me some terrible disease.
“If your library were to contain only the ten books which most influenced the course of human destiny, it would contain a copy of this book.”
Pretty good marketing here… almost feels like I should read this.
Every now and then I stop and reflect that I was born just 39 years after the D-Day landings at Normandy.
Seems impossible 🤯
Getting fired up to watch an election tonight!
It blows my mind that 3 dudes with super loud leaf blowers can stand outside a very busy business/residential intersection and make a crazy amount of noise for ~2-hours without any consequences.
We bought one of these and every time I use it, it’s giving big nostalgia vibes. Like the Dinosaurs sitcom from 1991 energy.
Hey Siri, show me what events I have on my calendar tomorrow?
“You have 33 events between now and next Tuesday”
In a quiet environment I get like 1 in five times where Siri just fully does not respond. Sometimes it responds and interrupts me to tell me it’s listening.
I am going through that phase where I periodically reevaluate my tech stack. Today I invested a fair amount of time trying to find ways to make Siri useful on an iPhone 14 Pro, and I have to say that the experience was laughably bad.
How is Apple this far behind? Just even basic stuff is so bad…
Dude. It’s my daughter’s (7-years) favourite song and I just have to hold in all the rage and despondence when she asks for it. I don’t know how this has happened, but it’s real, and it takes a toll.
I know I’m finally getting our family laundry situation under control when I start seeing deep cuts… like I haven’t seen this shirt in 3-months.
When I started using Neovim, I had this cute idea that I'd keep it relatively free of customization... the situation may have developed in a different direction.
My 2.5-year old son is listening to a party anthem version of “Heads, shoulders, knees and toes” and I’m very much here for it. Very hype.
Looking for a word for those moments when one looks at a pile of clutter that has been present for months (years?), sees it for what it is (absurd), and then resolves to deal with it...
It's exciting to work on exciting stuff at work 😘
I have these incredibly nice Bose Quiet Comfort headphones that I use with my MacBook Pro, and it's crackle city over here.
It's very frustrating to have two very high end pieces of technology that do not function well together. Even worse, the wired connection doesn't work either... 😬
I’m a “I like spicy food” guy, and this has been a real challenge 🥵
Not sure why Shopify.com is hosting this...
I used to buy PC Gamer every month as a kid so seeing this review makes me so happy! www.pcgamer.com/games/puzzle...
