While you wait for Pokemon Pokopia to release, generate your own custom version of the logo with the Pokopia Font Generator! Featuring a hand-made custom recreation of the logo font.
Oof, AYN will increase the price of the Thor and Odin 3 starting on March 8th. Pre-orders for the next batch start on the 1st, so you still have a few days to lock in the lower prices if you really want one.
Still, not a great sign for the gaming handheld scene going forward.
OK, here's my "the (English) Pokemon PokΓ©mon game for the Nintendo Switch system" cursory analysis.
First of all, I dumped the game to immediately discover the most sad romfs ever:
This week in the newsletter: Gamma is teaming up with ANBERNIC, early Nintendo 3DS RetroAchievements news, and a "brand-new Mana adventure" for the Game Boy.

GameSir is best known in the #emulation community for GameHub, but its next project takes aim at retro consoles.
GameSir Boy is a new app with built-in cores for seven systems and free open-source games.

I did this exact thing in January and it was fantastic. I hope you're enjoying your time off.
"I do expect it means that we'll see yet another fork pop up of Citron's continuation of Yuzu eventually"
Yep, it's called Kintoki and it popped up just 2 days after the purge. Still light on details though.
This week in #emulation news:
Citron pulls a Jesus ahead of Easter, a very suggestive handheld, and new tools for N64 homebrew game development.

Excuse me, but this is actually the "Pocket Super Knob". A Super Knob that fits in your pocket!
...a little boastful for a 5-inch handheld, but who am I to judge.
Great news: Offline RetroAchievements are here! A test build for melonDS features Offline RA support, and you can download it now.
Surprisingly, it didn't require server-side changes. Here's how it works:

Azahar 2125.0 Alpha 1 has been released. This test version includes some neat features, such as a Vulkan disk shader cache!
We highly encourage everyone to give it a try, but keep in mind that it may still be unstable.
Did you know that there was an arcade platform based on the GameCube? In this deep dive, we introduce our console step-sibling and show off all of its games!
There's definitely nothing else.

This week in the #emulation roundup, I take a deeper look at Nintendo's DMCA notice, which was sent to every Switch emulator on GitHub.
Plus, new clamshell handheld rumors, big RG VITA Pro news, and two exciting Mario Kart mods.

It's been months since the last major GameHub update, with dev resources diverted to another project.
However, the app has a "very big version upgrade" coming soon, which will hopefully address some of the community's privacy concerns.
Still, GameHub Lite is now on life support, with the main developer (Producdevity) moving on to GameNative and other projects. He writes:
"I hope GameHub itself continues to improve its privacy practices to the point where GameHub Lite isn't needed anymore."
GameSir was surprised that users took it upon themselves to remove trackers and create GameHub Lite.
Ironically, GameHub Lite exists in a legal gray area of its own. It relies on reverse engineering proprietary code, breaking licenses in the process.
But the company doesn't plan to shut it down.
To avoid certain license requirements for projects like Wine, GameHub uses its "own in-house compatibility layer... rather than modifications to Wineβs core code.β
Compatibility layers enable companies to build proprietary apps on open-source foundations. For example, Chrome is built on Chromium.
GameSir states that GameFusion is "developed in-house by GameSirβs core engineering team" and that it's fully compliant with the licenses of open-source projects it references.
However, I could not find any of the required attribution in the company's public repositories.
In November 2025, GameHub was nearing 5 million users, with roughly 70-80% in China. Since then, the app has launched on the Google Play Store, amassing more than 1 million downloads there.
GameSir doesnβt dispute that its primary motivation for GameHub is to sell more controllers, and that it does βplan to release controller models that are deeply optimized for GameHub,β which it sees as βa core part of the GameSir ecosystem.β
GameFusion is the name of the PC emulator, and GameHub is the app that ties everything together. It's also a launcher for mobile games with input mapping and more.
That's where it ties into its parent company GameSir's primary business: Selling controllers.
GameHub has quickly become one of the most impressive (and controversial) emulation projects on Android. I've spoken with its parent company over the past few months, and it has been surprisingly candid about the situation. I also got input from several PC emulation devs.
Here's what I learned π§΅
I forgot to post about the newsletter yesterday, so here we goooo!
This week, I have 28 brand-spankin' new N64 games, an embarrassing mistake from AYANEO, and a new translation for one of the best PSP JRPGs.
