Text: I really need some help. Iโm currently in the process of trying to prepare for my upcoming top surgery! Iโve had chronic rib pain for years that has been debilitating at times, so this means that Iโll finally be able to stop wearing binders and compression tops and feel comfortable in public without further risking my health. Finding a surgeon within my state that took my insurance was a huge positive, and confirming a date for the procedure was, too! Iโve felt more hopeful about things than I have in a long time!
Text: But the reality is that this surgery is gonna have me incapacitated for a while. I work from home, my main focus being jewelry and small repairs, and I'm not sure how well or when I'll be able to get back to that with the movement restrictions Iโll have. This leaves the majority of daily tasks to my fiancรฉ, on top of her already working multiple jobs and pursuing her own creative endeavours. We need to continue giving our IBD kitty the specific food, supplements, and probiotics that he needs to stay healthy as well. The hospital that my surgeon works out of is around 2 hours away from where we live, so gas and travel money for multiple visits and follow-ups is another concern.
Text: Expenses in the winter months hit far harder than I expected, and Iโve landed in a really difficult place. What I thought I would have saved up by now is entirely nonexistent, and to be fully transparent, Iโve been struggling for quite some time now. Anything and everything helps, and Iโd be so thankful for any contribution. I'll post links in this thread to me and my fiance's shops as well.
I'm posting this extremely last minute... I'm getting top surgery in a couple days and could really use support. Please read, please boost, more ๐s below
