Somewhere Between bitter and Sweet by Leakan Zea Kemp. I like it so far. Some of the family dynamics are familiar, and I like reading about the food.

Does anyone else get second-hand anxiety/embarrassment from fiction? If someone gets embarrassed on TV, I skip past it or avoid it. If it's a book, I put the book down for a bit. There's an upcoming confrontation scene I think in #WhenthePhoneRings, this #kdrama I'm watching, and ugh.. it's hard.

Even Bahubali has a protagonist with mom issues. It's a popular element, for sure.
