As a Christian, I believe peace begins with respecting the sacred. Jerusalem is holy to Jews, Muslims, and Christians. If we expect our own places of worship to be protected, we should support the right of others to pray freely as well.

The govt often overlooks age and emotional maturity in military recruitment. My former partner, a platoon leader during basic training, witnessed 17-year-olds (not adults) overwhelmed by the military, some breaking down in tears. He found it difficult to watch, and this affected him.
