It feels like a chicken-egg problem of some kind (matter vs ZigBee vs z-wave). Matter's scope is huge which is hard to establish in the market especially when non of the vendors have full control from their business perspective.

Use aqara sensors for years with HA. Never had a real issue.

On holiday I'm really missing my home automation setup. I've gotten so used to lights turning on automatically that using switches again feels strangely old-school 🙈.
