So here I am, not doing the writing I've been putting off and had told myself I'd definitely get around to this evening, but instead reading a very interesting article on How to Beat Procrastination.
Maybe not the best time to have read Prophet Song by Paul Lynch but it's beautiful and brilliant. Also terrifying.
Has there been a more beautifully produced and perfectly acted bit of telly this year than The Mirror and the Light?
The Mirror and the Light really is the perfect way to finish the weekend. Fabulous telly.
Hi Audrey!
Haha, perfect.
My anxiety levels were too high and my sleep was shot to pieces. It's for my own good (but God it's hard).
It's that feeling of having arrived alone and late to the party, and looking desperately about the place for a friendly face or two to cling to.
I'm limiting myself to just the one coffee each day now, Fiona. I do love the smell just before I drink it. And I find myself feeling a little sad once it's gone.
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks to Helen for judging, to all our entrants who helped us raise Β£300 for The Trussell Trust, and to our sensational reading team @fionamckay.bsky.social @markstocker.bsky.social @markthomson.bsky.social and @marthawrites.bsky.social. We are honoured to know you. Thank you all for your supportπ©·
I've treated myself to @jerichowriters.bsky.social membership. Their query letter workshop yesterday was very, very helpful.
I fear it may be too late for that, Terry.
I'll be talking to non-writer colleagues about flash fiction this morning. They're advertising creatives. I can see parallels. Hoping to pull at least one or two on board the flash train.
Hello! I've landed, finally. It feels familiar, but better. A little like the other place, but cleaner. I like it already.
Thanks, Terry. Trying to work out how to set myself up and find all the lovely wordy people I've connected with elsewhere. I'll get there!
