What?? No! But I thought they were just legitimately concerned mums & dads, not like the rotten terrorists holding up bits of card saying "genocide's bad"
A really important piece by @shattenstone.bsky.social on Kevin Nunn's case. My students are always shocked by this: www.theguardian.com/law/ng-inter...
Thanks to @folukeifejola.bsky.social for this kind review of my book: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...
Very gutted to be missing this, ironically because I have essays to mark on my Miscarriages of Justice module...
38 years in prison, before the Court of Appeal decides that DNA evidence renders his conviction unsafe. This is an astonishing turn of events, but Peter Sullivan now has to navigate a return to 'free' society, after 38 yrs. www.itv.com/news/granada...
The White Paper is horrendous, but it's worth saying this: international students past, present, and future, your lecturers welcome you and value you.
Really important thread by @gemabbott.bsky.social of @thehowardleague.bsky.social on use of fource in adult prisons. This is the Government's OWN research that lays bare racial discrimination in use of force and use of PAVA spray.
Some excellent research on a topic that is really difficult to shed light on, by @corinnabarrettlain.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
Good to see @reprievehq.bsky.social taking on this case: www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m.... The principles underpinning extradition law should absolutely be extended to these types of cases (I've written about this before: www.elgaronline.com/edcollchap/e...)
Really looking forward to reading this!

Hey @sathnam.bsky.social I can't make your talk in Bristol (parenting!) but let me know if you're free in the afternoon - haven't seen you in ages!
This film scarred me as a kid! I have a vivid memory of crying at some point, and my much older cousin had to take me out of the cinema. I didn't want to admit I was scared, so I said I was crying because I was hungry.
Louise Haigh case speaks volumes about our inability to let people rehabilitate - she did something stupid & criminal years ago, pleaded guilty, got lowest court sanction & moved on in her life. Her criminal record no longer appears on basic DBS checks but will do on Enhanced www.fairchecks.org.uk

I'd like one! Can't offer too many suggestions (which is why I'd like one, I guess). @policefoundationuk.bsky.social @justicehq.bsky.social ... @hjacivillibs.bsky.social maybe?
Thanks for the mention! And for the starter packs - they were really helpful
