I still lurk “over there” and the prevalence of these fools replying to anything with “At Grok…what dos this mean?” shows such a lack of understanding of LLMs and more broadly a lack of critical thinking. The real danger of LLMs is rendering unfamiliar people incapacitated when they need to think.

I love amber alerts in Texas because they’re all like “beware of this car that was last spotted 798 miles away from you” and that’s never appearing before me but I’ll still hold the watch.

Susie Wiles sounds the alarm on gas prices White House aides and Cabinet officials are coming under intense pressure to reverse the spike in energy prices caused by the start of the war in the Middle East.

Susie Wiles is telling Trump’s advisers to come up with ideas to lower gas prices in the wake of the U.S. attack on Iran. Advisers are “getting screamed at to find some good news” on bringing down prices, one energy industry exec told us.

The psychological instinct to turn toward instant outrage to anything you see posted on social media is wild. And I mean, I think we’ve all been guilty of that at one time or another.

Yep, this is good. I made many of the same points here Mon night and yesterday morning before muting my thread in disgust over the responses.

Way too many people will believe anything that fits into their view of things these days.

Today the site is highlighting their virality.

Twice today…twice! I encountered drivers stopped in the middle of the road because they were doing something on their phones. I am pro-draconian driving/cell phone laws. Not sorry.

What’s insane to me is that the 18th district is having a fourth election since November. For the same seat.

when Mamdani, Spanberger, and Sherrill all won, a lot was written about how they were very different but were great for their specific electorate. I don’t understand why that wasn’t extended to Talarico. being a man of faith in Texas is…fine? good even? he’s gonna have to peel off moderates!

Love your first point too. He can absolutely win in Texas. May even be better than Beto. The religiosity will peel some voters off, especially if Paxton somehow wins. They’re both good candidates but to win *Texas* in 2026 I think he’s gonna appeal to a broader coalition.

This state does whatever they can to make it difficult for regular people to vote, let alone those who have circumstances making it tough on them.

When we talk about Baby Boomers not getting off the stage: In 1997, the US president was born in 1946.

In 2007, the US president was born in 1946.

In 2017, the US president was born in 1946.

And next year in 2027? The US president will have been born in 1946.
