Goodness Lynn you are certainly busy. Have a lovely evening xx
Black cat sitting on shed roof staring at me.
Do you think he can smell that I'm cooking fish tonight?
Oh Lynn they're gorgeous. They'll certainly keep you busy. All good here. Ready for a nice restful weekend xx
Stamp prices are going up again in April. I'm still waiting for the letter my friend posted to me last Saturday. If we get two letter deliveries in 7 days it's a good week here. Surely they shouldn't be allowed to increase stamp prices until they are actually delivering the post!
The painting features colours differentiated along horizontal bands, including a red and green field of poppies in the foreground, ragged masses of darker green trees along the horizon, and restless skies of varying blue hues above.

The right to protest is under threat and there is legislation going through Parliament that aims to give police even more powers to restrict protest.

Westminster Meeting House raided by Metropolitan Police again. Statement: βFor Quakers, faith and action are inseparable. Peaceful protest, prayer and nonviolent action are integral parts of many Quakers' religious life. Whilst we take the planning of criminal acts very seriously, we believe that this incident is a deliberate targeting of committed young people who want to make our country a more equitable place. This raid is part of a systematic stifling of dissent. That this is the second time in a year that the police have raided our meeting house dramatically illuminates the broader trend in the UK of cracking down on those who disagree with the government. The right to protest is fundamental to our democracy. It's a key part of how people make their voices heard between elections.β β Oliver Robertson, Head of Witness and Worship Quakers in Britain, 5 March 2026
Yesterday evening, for the second time in a year, the Met Police raided Westminster Quaker Meeting House and arrested a number of young nonviolent activists.

That's on my list. I read my first Joanne Harris this year - Chocolat and absolutely loved it.
Dydd Gwener hapus (I hope that's right, I'm three years into Duolingo and never sure when to include the dydd when not to). Have a wonderful day xx
I think we all need to walk more. We miss so much of the beauty that's around us.
What a beautiful photograph.
Early river stroll. A writhing twisting, shape shifting mass of golden light hovers over the fast flowing water. Bird song fills the air. Song thrush and mistle thrush compete for the best note. Frost on the riverbank glitters in the morning light. A morning full of joy.

It's almost the weekend so I'm treating myself to fancy porridge. I wonder whether my Scottish grandfather would approve π€
Excellent.
Indeed.

Isn't it? So vivid, you could almost touch them.
A lush, overflowing basket of flowers - including colourful tulips, roses, and columbines, with insects and scattered petals on a dark surface, all set against a dark, minimalist background to emphasize the colours of the blossoms.
