I liked Danny Kirwan's guitar, and Christine McVie's voice.
This was the last halfway decent album, it got weird and completely fucked up after that.
The last time I saw them was playing for Clinton in '93 when there was a somehow sad reunion, I couldn't watch the whole thing.
I found the rich gold of aspen contrasting beautifully beneath the tall slender snags.
There's an ethereal grace and shows the continuity of life.
I fulfilled a childhood dream of catching an Arctic Grayling, they had been stocked in Lee Valley Reservoir.
No longer there, ospreys ate most of them.
This is funny in that jack-booted kind of way.
In the mid 80's I camped and fished up the Black River as well as a few other watersheds.
The White Mts. are a truly beautiful sky island range. I went back in 2019 for a memory tour, this time I had a camera.
Lee Valley after a bad fire a couple of years earlier...
Frozen.
Like the last pocket of winter slush, soot and burnt-rubber stained, a pile of haz-mat in a dark corner.
Well above the $4 mark here.
I had almost forgotten the Alamo.
You have lived long and prospered beyond our wildest imaginings, and to our great benefit.
You have the helm sir.

Who are these cosplay thugs?
Look at them... their slovenly attire, tennis shoes and jeans, women who are obviously just tagging along.
None of these so called "agents" exhibit even the slightest indication of law enforcement training.
The only thing consistent about them are the masks.

"Oh my... even little ol' Miss Daisy? Find a motel for us honey, and step on it!"
Conversion to dust!
"God has a plan for all of us..."

A large blue heron with outstretched wings steps off a moss covered long along a stream. It's long legs extend down with the feet just touching the surface of the water.
Along a narrow rocky stream a snoozing river otter perks up to watch an approaching great blue heron striding down the middle of the creek. The otter is wary of a large ornery bird with the long sharp beak.
A napping river otter looks over its shoulder and across the creek at 3 of its family feed in the shallow rocky waters. On the bank just above the swimming otters a great blue heron stares at the cavorting otters as if in disbelief at their rude intrusion on its space.
A trail cam photo of a Great Blue Heron for a little walk on water along with a couple others pics from the same camera set, a popular mossy log used by many stream side residents. There are 4 otters in the third photo, 3 are swimming in front of he heron on the far bank.

Pre-feather portrait of the perch... a whimsical driftwood post with a dried artichoke bloom hairdo...
Doing his Maggie Mae impression.
Named for its pink legs, 'Pinky' the Swainson's Thrush does a little two-step atop a favorite perch in the yard then pauses one-legged to listen...

Maybe stay away from crowds...
I'm horrified in the present day to see another Mid East conflict.
But I'm not surprised.
Another icon of my youth... I dreamed of living as Olaus and Mardy Murie did.
