Literally preached tolerance for tax collectors too, btw
What is this boomer-tier shite. Who gives a toss that she double majored in Econ and IR and did not win a high school science fair? This is an insane level of credentialist boosterism.
So is this mention of Trump blowing "Bubba" in the Epstein emails a reference to Bill Clinton?
Imagine being Bill Clinton and you getting some dome manages to end two different presidencies.
Literally says that Epstein only ever met him once and that it's odd Scaramucci reached out to him.
In any other country, if federal agents fired upon journalists when unprovoked β what would we call it?
If federal agents marched down streets demanding papers β what would we say?
Authoritarianism β letβs not pretend itβs something else when it happens in our American cities.
More than 1800 detainees are missing after the closure of Alligator Alcatraz. Their families and lawyers canβt find them and theyβve vanished from the ICE database. Feels like this should be a much bigger story www.miamiherald.com/news/local/i...
Peter Goldsmith β’ 1st Professor, University of Illinois at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign 3h β’ G Today is a dark day when once there were so many winners. SIL, the Soybean Innovation Lab, will shutter its doors as of 4/15/25 as all USAID funding has ceased. Today I had to let go of a staff of 30. These individuals are not only unique experts in the field of tropical soybean, but also close colleagues and friends who are now unexpectedly out of work. The land grant system now loses 19 crown jewel Innovation Labs, across 17 states, that delivered high and measurable impact on very little investment. U.S. soybean farmers lose one of their best tools to expand their markets and U.S. standards globally. Local economies in emerging markets lose soybean as an incomparable engine growing wealth, prosperity, and economic development. International security is a loser, as local populations now fall back into poverty, unrest, and migration, due to greater food insecurity. U.S. influence loses as Innovation Labs operate on the ground in direct collaboration with hundreds of local businesses, organizations, and governments building strong and lasting friendships. Today we all lose. It is a shame. Innovation Labs like SIL are an investment for good on so many levels. You and 53 others 17 comments
The average Fox News viewer has no idea that Musk is tearing down a system that allowed this country to rule the world for the past 75 years. And when their standard of living slips dramatically in the next five years they still wonβt understand because their TV will blame it on some poor scapegoat.
AP headline Man who exploded Tesla Cybertruck outside Trump hotel in Las Vegas used generative AI, police say
Folks, we did it. We found the perfect headline for the moment.
Should I be worried that as a child I rooted for the Empire?
When the "destruction" part of "creative destruction" becomes apparent.
Two Boston Review articles come to mind. Lynch, The Value of Truth & Nguyen, Polarization or Propaganda.
Lynch has papers in this vicinity, and Nguyen's piece discusses other work on either side of the P or P debate. Namely, Benkler et al.'s Network Propaganda and Talisse's Overdoing Democracy.

The usual suspects are out there yelling "There are 23 million government workers! Fire most of them!" No awareness that most work for local governments, and most of *them* are schoolteachers. Federal employment hasn't grown since the 1950s
Frankfurt's analysis of Bullshit retains its explanatory potential.
Leeds has a fully funded scholarship program for undergraduate and Masters study for Gaza students.

My favourite thing about philosophy is that we have a day.
For the philosophy, see JoΓ«lle Proust's work, e.g. philpapers.org/rec/PROM

No prizes for guessing which departments are going to end up feeling the pain.
Examples of bad philosophy that is bad because of a failure to incorporate biology?
