The Booker tax thing makes me upset not because he is trying (poorly) to solve the problem, but because he misdiagnoses the problem

It’s not Rich vs Poor in the tax code, it’s very obviously Old vs Young. Make it more fair by taxing older people more. Don’t just get rid of it for everybody.

Will need to see specifics of how this massive tax cut is paid for. Tax cuts for their own sake have already been shown to have little effect on savings rates this century, and deficits are way too high to be doing this without 1:1 make-ups.
