Himes: I have a theory on how this ends…

You’re going to see oil go across $100… Projections for economic growth are going to go down.

And at some point in 3-5 weeks, the president is going to say this is really not tenable. And he’s going to declare victory and walk away.

I recall so many "debates" on Titter, where people would tell me that I could still travel around Europe, after Brexit. The conclusion I had to reach was that these people did not really grasp what, "Freedom of Movement" actually meant?!?

Agree - it made us much more vulnerable to negative forces and ultimately is risking our democracy. The rise of Farage to be a potential PM is a Brexit consequence and terrifying.

CMA launches review of private dentistry The CMA has launched a market study into the Β£8 billion private dentistry sector to make sure it is working well for UK consumers.

Regulator investigates Β£8.4bn private dentistry UK market.

Private equity dominates the market - rip-off charges, profiteering, local monopolies.

No body voted for private equity takeover, loss of NHS dentistry.

It happens because Govts favour corporations.

Brexit cut Britain off from its biggest market, and the damage is baked into the economy. Businesses face barriers that did not exist before, and investment has taken a hit. The UK should enter the Single Market and restore frictionless trade.

Brexit cut Britain off from its biggest market, and the damage is baked into the economy. Businesses face barriers that did not exist before, and investment has taken a hit. The UK should enter the Single Market and restore frictionless trade.

Europe is the largest single market in the world, and it was an act of self-sabotage to leave the EU. Joining the single market would facilitate easier trade between the UK and the EU, and would remove the red tape that many British businesses are struggling with now.

EU UK Reset Efforts Urged to Accelerate in 2026 MEPs call for EU UK reset efforts to be decisively accelerated in 2026 as Brexit marks ten years and geopolitical pressures reshape European priorities.

"Brexit meant Brexit, but 10 years is a long time in politics and the geopolitical landscape has changed beyond recognition. It is time for the UK Government to recognise that the EU is its closest ally and its strongest partner. Progress has been too slow. The EU–UK reset must now be supercharged.”
