If we had ranked-choice voting - the majority of NJ voters could be heard. It’s brutal that +70% of voters are going to go unheard during this primary.
Hi 👋 we are a bunch of volunteers working on RCV for primary and local elections.
Right now, no candidate in NJ-11 has more than 30% of the vote. This is a brutal amount of vote splitting that will leave +70% of primary voters unheard.
We need ranked-choice voting in NJ, ASAP.
And right now no candidate has more than 30% of the vote because of a wild amount of vote-splitting.
(Which we could fix with ranked-choice voting.)
Tomorrow, Dems will pick a nominee to replace Mikie Sherrill in NJ's 11th Congressional District.
With 11 candidates, one could win the primary w/ less than 10% of the vote.

With ranked choice voting, your favorite candidate gets your vote, unless they can't win. If so, your next-favorite candidate gets your vote so its never wasted. 😊
In New Jersey, there are already four Democratic primaries for U.S. House seats that have five or more candidates.

Collingswood has joined 8 other towns across NJ in urging New Jersey to pass a #rankedchoicevoting resolution. This suburb in #southjersey is asking for NJ to allow #rcv because it is proven to give voters more choices and ensure the majority of voices are heard.
