I used to be jealous of magical girl transformations when I was a child. Normal cisgender boy thoughts.
It's kind of like coming-of-age stories. The main character becomes a man not when he turns 18, but when he undergoes some kind of deep personal development. I think of it as being like that for me, but I became a woman instead of a man.
The way I think about it is a little different to how I've seen most people describe it.
In my mind, I was definitely a (somewhat feminine) boy, but never a man. I transitioned in my 20s, so I was an adult at the time, but not a man. I just eventually became a woman.
I didn't even consider that lol. That would be nice though.
