Our new paper in JACC: Advances 🧬

Honored to share my first newspaper column—published in El Diario NY, the nation’s largest Spanish-language daily!
I spotlight #LipoproteinA, a hidden cholesterol risk for the heart and brain, and why it matters for US Hispanics/Latinos
Thanks @nhmamd.bsky.social !

Our team at #AlbertEinsteinCollegeofMedicine found that #Lipoprotein(a) is an independent predictor of stroke/TIA, MRI-defined infarcts, and WMH in #Hispanic/Latino adults from HCHS/SOL.
Timely insights following promising siRNA trial results at #ACC25.
