As a maker I might just become a cobbler because I've done so much research on what specs I want for the perfect fursuit foot and halfway-made supplies for shoes just don't exist 😩

First up is Hale Purry- my first commission/2nd suit finished in 2020. Using DVC mouth + nose parts (for UV reactive colors) on an EVA base. Includes magnetic eyelids and horn.

If you've been using talc powder for a while; seal it in a plastic bag and store it! If you ever get mesothelioma or ovarian cancer you have a case/evidence against the bottle's company to sue!

PSA if you use talcum baby powder in any of your making process (eg, to nullify the sticky side of tape patterns): STOP NOW. Asbestos often grows with Talc and it's very hard to purify. Manufacturers only just switched over to cornstarch in 2023.

The struggle using these when you have super thin/flimsy paper, tho 😂 I keep telling myself I need to buy a new one- it feels like they get dull after a while.
