She replies: dear boy, the US has been a blueprint for fascism all along. Hitler specifically cited Jim Crow, US anti-miscegenation and white only immigration laws as inspiration for his eugenics policies. Germany sent people to study what was being done in the US to export it over there. In the 30s, tens of thousands of Americans attended massive rallies by fascist groups such as the friends of new Germany or the German American bund. Then in the 40s, two dozen Congress people were charged with sedition for planning a fascist overthrow of the government. And since WWII, the amount of fascist groups and militias has grown exponentially. Not only can fascism come to the US,it has always been an inherent part of American society.

The attacks on trans rights, which are basic human rights, are a terrible injustice and an attack on truth and fact as well. Everyone should be deeply alarmed and it should be disqualifying for a politician to support such discrimination.

4 frame comics, where we see scenes from the 1936 olympic games in Berlin : the Berlin stadium, 5 women holding hula hoops in the shape of the olympics logo, athletes doing an obstacle course. the last frame is the 2028 Los Angeles olympic logo. the text reads : the olympics have seen various forms of gender policing since the games of 1936 in nazi germany. it was introduced as a way to enforce the gender binary by disqualifying people with inter- sex characteristics or atypical gender expression. naked parades in front of a jury, gynecological inspections, chromosomal testing, certifica- tions that only richer countries could issue... these were all attempts at gender policing by the olympic committee between 1936 and 1996. one after the other, these practices were outlawed. they were all found to be flawed, misleading, humiliating, discrimi- natory, racist, misogynistic. since 2003, strict guidelines have allowed intersex and trans women to participate. despite 20 years of inclusion, there has only been one trans woman who competed, not winning any medal. yet, we just learned that the I.o.C. was looking into bringing back gender policing to ban intersex & trans athletes, in time for the nazi germany olympics of 2028. oops, I mean united states.

4 frame comic. someone out of frame is going around with a mic, asks a woman in some victorian dress pushing a double stroller : ma'am! do you think we should be worried about the declining birth rate in our society? she replies : what I'm anxious about is white men spewing natalist rhetoric as a gateway to control marginalized people's bodies. the main reasons the birth rate is declining are that minors aren't having babies anymore and that people have the freedom to choose if & when they have babies. also, most kids now make it to kindergarden alive. these are all good things. if white men are so worried about the birth rate, they should welcome more immigrant families, make sure new parents have long and paid work leaves, and make fertility treatments and childcare free. but I guess they're too busy being racist and misogynistic for that.

4 frame comic. a street journalist asks a woman and her daughter : ma'am! do you think girls' rights to play sports should prevent transgender biological males from competing with them? she replies : not only is it prejudicial to trans girls' rights and health, but every legislature that made it mandatory to prove that a girl wasn't trans in order to play a sport saw a dramatic de- cline in enrollment, because of the extra hurdle to get a doctor to sign the forms. trans girls have rights too, and they deserve dignity and inclusion. our societies are struggling to get kids moving. there's a loneliness epidemic. and people want to do what? restrict access to afterschool programs? give me a break. as we speak, girls' teams are forced to cancel their activities so that we can keep bullying trans kids. if people really cared about girls' sports, they'd be fighting against things like boys' teams systematically getting more money and resources, and dibs on playing field schedules. that's the real infringement on girls' rights.

4 frame comic. someone is interviewing people on the street with a mic. he asks a man with a red hoodie : sir! what do you think of the recent survey that suggests that less people are now identifying as transgender? was it just a fad? the man replies : the survey you're referring to was about students from 3 specific colleges who did not identify as male or female, which only tells us about non-binary people, nothing about trans women or trans men. if what you got out of this survey is that there are less trans people in the world, it's because you have a deep mis- understanding of transness to begin wthe only thing it tells us is that less non- binary students are willing to out themselves or to enroll into college. transness gets criminalized, publicly shamed and persecuted. trans folks deciding to go back into the closet or flee to safety isn't the win some people seem to think it is. it's heart- breaking, tragic, and a net loss for society.

Text reads : Before being Trump's favourite slogan, the A.F. movement was a far-right group dedicated to opposing u.s. involvement in wwII, spreading disinformation and promoting fascism in the U.S., active in the 40s. at its peak, it counted more than 800 000 members in 450 chapters. They organized massive rallies and conferences that featured prominent far-right figures such as henry ford and charles lindbergh, but also known nazi agents. many congresspeople were known "Firsters". several of them were charged with sedition for spreading nazi propaganda, stockpiling weapons and con- spiring to install a fascist regime in the U.S.. The court ruled a mistrial after the sudden death of the judge. a.f. dissolved when the U.S. joined the war, but its main actors kept plotting with the nazis to be in- stalled into power in the event that Germany won. After the war, they supported mccarthysm and organized new far-right groups and political parties.
