It's rough. His first flight (military) was delayed almost 24 hours and he spent the night in the terminal there. Then in Baltimore he had to wait another 15 hours for a flight to Atlanta. I finally picked him up 2 days after he'd left!

We had a nice time! Rough start, as he had a lot of delays getting here. Then we was quite sick for 4-5 days just laid out in bed. Thankfully I didn't get it!
Always tough when they leave. Mine's been living in Germany the last few years and was deployed to Africa for 7 months of it. He's really going to miss being in Europe!
You got me back, guys. Said goodbye to my son this morning after 10 days. They gave me a gate pass so I got to hang out with him for 2 hrs more. The outside gardens at GSP are always nice, especially when it's cool out. This place is luxury compared to flying out of $#@* ATL.
Awwwww!
Perchta would be awesome, I was disappointed when that canceled last year.
Hellripper would be '26 equivalent of how much my son loved Devastator.
Other than Darkthrone, what are you hoping for? I'd really love to see Ellende or Myrkur. Aara is a given. I know Grima won't happen. Ard, or Winterfylleth.
At the rate this is going, there will soon be a full fairy ring here and I'm just going to step into the middle of it and disappear for a few hundred years or more.
Shirt check. Cloak's been having a $15 sale on shirts and they finally got me to fold. Bonus: I didn't know it was printed on the back, too. Nice π€π Also got here in one day. I won't be paying shipping/tariffs on anything from overseas for the foreseeable future, so... a local band it is!
I'm very ready for hot hag autumn.
Oh, I agree- there's a lot of horrific seafood boil crimes committed! I'm glad I got to taste the real thing so I have the tangible experience to stack the rest up against! π
I actually used to live near Skull Creek, SC which is where the largest Gullah neighborhood in the area was. There's a Gullah history museum and they have a Gullah festival every February to highlight their food/culture. So this is how I was fortunate to taste a legit seafood boil made by Gullah.
But yes, Gullah style lowcountry boil IS the actual name for the seafood boil with shrimp, potatoes, corn and the like. No doubt it has been poorly made and claimed by white people as their own, but it's roots are distinctly African-American.
A properly made Gullah seafood boil is really wonderful! They made this dish using available ingredients, and cooked communally in large pots.

I'd eat that! but I also enjoy South Carolina's Lowcountry boil, which has an interesting history and might help shed some light on it's origins, which are with the Gullah-Geechee (African-American) culture of Beaufort county, SC. (I lived there for 10 years)
Dead end country road + cool morning air + Ellende = bliss
ER was thankfully just a scare, I'm fine. HVAC needed an off-hours call, new capacitor and refrigerant. He also found a small leak in my evaporator coil, which is a several thousand $ repair because it needs to be replaced if the $500 repair using sealant, fails. It *might* be under warranty.
Things I didn't want to deal with on Sunday after spending half the night in the ER: my HVAC condenser just sitting there making a buzzing sound and not running, my house obviously not cooling. If this is a major repair my head might pop off. Wish me luck.
Exactly. I'll be the judge of how I'm doing any given day, these little nagging nudges do nothing but irritate me. And the pop up every time you open the app. There's entire reddit threads of people asking how to make it stop, Fitbit needs to get with the program.
These notifications drive me mad, and you can't turn them off. Yeah, right I'm at the risk of undertraining after a 16k step day and a resting heart rate of 60. Fuck off, Fitbit. I don't work well with nagging from my electronics.
Sometimes you walk outside and it just hits you with how beautiful it all is.
They're amazing live! Enjoy!
They were sooooo good. π€© I'm planning too, we're trying to figure out seeing more of Scotland and then Fortress at the end. I want to see some of the Highlands!
He just kills me, and he has this cute little under bite, too.
Just so you know, I ate every cookie in my possession that you brought to Fortress, including Connor's and I would've scarfed down more. Your cookies are amazing! π€©
This big baby is getting neutered this morning and I'm stranded in the local Starbucks waiting for him because the shelter is over an hour away from home and driving almost 5 hours back and forth today was not on my priority list! He was so scared when I dropped him off π₯Ί
My son will be there again too :)
How many more people are coming?
Well, if you really want to be like me, take Vitamin K2mk7 with that Vit D (I actually take a combined supplement), and Magnesium (glycinate, taken at night). I'm not too crazy with supplements, just those, probiotic, fish oil and of course my HRT.
