Yes, please.
Yes, please.
You're on my list to reach out to, too. I'll bug you early next week if I don't hear from you before then.
Thanks!
Edited today, and did some marketing. Also lined up another (small) editing gig. I found a few people purchased my zines (thank you!). I made pizza, did dishes, and played Ark Nova. Blood pressure was good, and my brain seemed to work.
Amazing what can happen when I stay home.
Now to bed!
And the typo was, in fact, completely accurate.
Typo of the day: "ass-on" instead of "add-on".
I think it speaks for itself.

I blogged about publishing Bolthaven Folio #3. I also talk about the future of the Settlement System and MoteWright, the TTRPG I'm developing. More on that as it comes up.
If you play with the Settlement System in BF3, please let me know!

This was a long time coming, but Bolthaven Folio #3: Settle Down is LIVE on itch. Just under the wire for Zine Month.
If your players want to run their own town, with all the associated headaches, this one's for you. Also handy if you need background events on the road. PWYW. No AI.

Looks great! And now I have ideas around those roses.
Straight rolls would be my interpretation in this case. The advantage from faerie fire negates the disadvantage from the displacement, so just roll normally. If there's something else granting advantage (say, guiding bolt or flanking) you could get advantage on attacks.

I figured it was high time for another State of the Wombat post. Let's look at some of the projects I published last year, and some of the projects in the hopper for 2026.
Also, Happy Zine Month!

Ass, Integrated.
Or Automated Injustice?
The mind boggles at what AI actually stands for.
I have a need to break out my papercraft tools again after seeing this. Just lovely.
The stories we strive to emulate with obscure math and magic dice are not balanced.
Frodo and Sam are not balanced against the Orcs at Cirith Ungol. Luke is not balanced against Vader in Empire. Paul Atreides is a confused teen versus a Galactic Empire.
This imbalance is the point.
I've heard that, and I believe it. Eerily similar to the rush from gambling or constantly refreshing an eBay auction.
See also Evil Hat's concept of Catastrophic Success.
I think I'll keep chugging along quietly publishing my weird niche game add-ons for a while.
It's why I am taking Five Fires a different route - was honestly not up for the neurochemistry of a crowdfunding campaign
This whole thread about Dancey and the motivations behind creating the OGL is well worth the read.
An unplayable board game with expensive premium components that looks fabulous provides a great metaphor for the current state of generative AI.
I have a 30mm liquid core commission that's been abandon and would love for it to find a home.
$85 was the cost but more than willing to let it go for $60 + S&H.
If interested, please drop a comment or a DM!

Do. Not. Do. This.
Everyone can literally crawl up your ass medically since you're basically waiving your HIPAA privacy protections by sharing your medical history with this experimental software that offers zero expectation of privacy.
Hay-Seuss Marimba.
Grok offers no expectation of privacy, so that's a voluntary forfeiture of HIPAA protections. Good luck getting them back after that boneheaded move.
Nor even count to 100 without giving up at 20 with "and so on up to 100".
I talk a lot about logos and branding/visual identity design as a service but I havenβt really gone into what those are.
So what is the difference between the two and why should you, as a game publisher, care?
This will probably be a blog at some point but for now itβll be a (short?) thread.

A photo of the front page of a draft of bolthaven Folio #3: Settle Down.
This morning, I had an 8-page doc crammed full of notes and ideas. Now I have a laid-out draft of Bolthaven Folio #3. It still needs some work, but I'm much more confident about publishing this stripped-down settlement system this month.

My Zinequest project is live!
In Small Folk in Big Coats you each play as a little guy in a stack masquerading a single big guy. You're unlikely to get caught, but youβre even less likely to work together.
Itβs very silly and easy to get playing. Go Check it out!
