That idea is very much challenged throughout the book! Those ideas definitely come from Sophie’s lack of self confidence. The scarecrow’s existence is also explained more if you read the book! The book really is quite small print. I don’t blame you at all! Just a big fan with too much time hehe
I think manga refers to comic book like stories. Stories written in books that rely on art and the written word to tell its story. Anime refers to the television medium that utilizes animation to tell its story.

I loved the book even more! Both are very dear to me. I feel like it expands on some things like Sophie’s sisters and gives her a very cool ending!! Also the audio book is lovely! It’s done by this older woman and she gives Howl a welsh accent that’s quite charming.
This game is amazing to play with a friend solving puzzles and vibing. It’s a little spooky and very goofy! Great if you like word games

I am infuriated by the exclusion. TRANS KIDS EXIST. They are not controversial. I’m tired of the exclusion and the demonizing. Kids deserve to see themselves and kids that are different. If parents were upset, they can choose to skip the episode!!!
I think it’s so harmful to treat lgbt stuff as something young kids shouldn’t know about. My parents who are lgbtq accepting now, took that approach and it was really damaging because I thought LGBTQ stuff was bad. Kids deserve to be educated about the world.
