These EXACT questions and more plague my dev experience, especially after I stopped making fangames and folks began to care a LOT less. Another one to ask yourself, though: do you want your game to exist? If so, that's every reason to keep at it. I make what I want to play, and that keeps me going.

Fruit Juice Factory is basically done and ready for Demo 3, outside of setting hi-scores. Check out the Larry McPeel Hydra boss fight, sprited by me (@mr-freaks.itch.io) and coded by @jorjoe05.bsky.social!

It's not unearned - though there are certainly lessons to be learned, you went through a lot from it as well. Your resolve to do good speaks volumes - you deserve nice things, I say.

That whole sequence over the Proto Man theme was art. Quite somber and introspective - much like the MM7 credits (the music, and the whole sequence really), which made *quite* the impression on me. Gotta love how a colorful game about bug-eyed hardhats can get you in "the feels" like that!

'Psycutlery' by @luketarlowe.bsky.social is completely free. It has fifty levels, fifty alternative levels, and at least one alternative campaign if I'm not misremembering. It is absurdly long with a whole host of unique gimmicks. Also, it's free. Just get it.

The kittens certainly have a lot of FUN with each other. And I swear, if I had just a FRACTION of their energy!

This post, as of right now, has gotten my game a grand total of 0 downloads since yesterday - not too shabby! If we keep at this, maybe we can even make it up to 1 download! :D

Seriously, I would deeply appreciate all the support this can get. I spent over a decade on this passion project, and released it completely for free - it is really struggling for visibility, especially now as downloads begin to dwindle. I don't want to see it vanish into obscurity. Thanks.
