Our results highlight that the prosocial behavior of the dictators is sensitive to the loss frame they are embedded in. Therefore, researchers should mind the framing when studying human behavior (particularly altruism) in the domain of losses. (4/4)
We find that dictators' altruism varies with the loss frame used: sharing a loss makes them more benevolent compared to a setting without a loss or where they share what remains after a loss. (3/4)
Using a dictator game, we study the effect of loss framing on altruism in a high-powered online experiment with either a windfall endowment or real effort task. 🤑 (2/4)
📣Happy to share my first publication of 2024 ( hopefully not the last)! "Mind the framing when studying social preferences in the domain of losses" with Armenak Antinyan,
