Today I met with Robb (two B's) Emmett. He does video branding strategy and production (Elgin, Illinois). He focuses on B2B corporate clients, and his videos are super high-end showpieces that are perfect for manufacturing companies. Let me know if you want an introduction!

They even translated it into Japanese! community.dscoop.com/public/blogs...
Yes, keep promoting your Archie+Outdoors branding! Do you have a color palette you follow?
HP's user group used one of my VW van photos in an interview with me. So it is known across the printing industry.

Another great #FreelanceFriends chat. Thank you to @angelatague.bsky.social, who reviews and conceives topics, researches, organizes, writes the questions, promotes the chat, and then hosts our friendly gathering. I would refer Angela for a project just based on how smoothly she keeps us running! 🌞
That's so cool.
I travel around the U.S. with my husband in our old VW bus. People remember that, and someone once showed my camping photo during their presentation on branding. It's on my Insta! (sandyhubbardnow)

And as an aside, the cost of calligraphy ink just keeps going up. It's time to make my own ink!
Nice - you had it covered!
Exactly. And we can cover those topics within the context of our expertise. For example, during a print paper shortage, I was invited to present. I explained how to communicate with your supply chain and do better planning, which is what I help clients with. I didn't pretend to be a paper expert.
One of my clients wants me to write about tariffs to "capture the traffic." Um, ugh. And before long, it will be a totally useless post and the masses will be running in a different direction. Not my style to chase trends. #FreelanceFriends
It's because you see the patterns and implications before everyone else, Amy. I know that about you.
#FreelanceFriends
Use the words your customers use when they want to find you.
"We need a better writer than the one we have now."
"We need someone who knows the topic or can learn it quickly."
"We need someone who writes authoritatively, can cite correctly, and who will make us look good."
----> That's Angela!
That's a powerful part of your brand, Paula, in my opinion. Saying what you are not and what you don't do can be a potent differentiator.

A2. I just looked at my LinkedIn bio and realized, yes, I do cater to AI. I added the word "best" which bumped up my Google Gemini summaries (with citations!) for the query "best growth strategist in the print industry."
#FreelanceFriends @angelatague.bsky.social ,
I don't intentionally do so, but part of my consulting appeal is to be on the forward edge, so it comes up organically. Honestly, being different and well-niched is more helpful than being trendy.
#FreelanceFriends
Ooooh, smart!
Same. I have speaker bios that come in all sizes and flavors. Event planners like options. LOL.
#FreelanceFriends
A2: In my professional bios, I include my service, the verticals I serve, and a description of my ideal client.
For example, I prefer working with hands-on owners, not ivory-tower types. That covers the major keywords, and the rest I include in my posts and content.
#FreelanceFriends
Jumping in! A1. Q1: I have bios on all my accounts and social media, and I keep them updated. I'm always testing to see what keeps the proverbial phone ringing. I am fond of them but know they will change. I try to describe myself and my ideal clients succinctly and accurately.
#FreelanceFriends
A1: I have "about" pages on each website, which get regularly tweaked. I also teach artists/writers about the bios they need -- 50 word version, 100 words, 250. It's so important to have one that's active/engaging.
#FreelanceFriends
Angela, Your article for Slack is sensational and so useful! It's a keeper for me, and I will share with my clients. Thank you!
I am a proud member of Girls Who Print. This month, we are celebrating PrintHERstoryMonth as we do every year. Here's this year's profile:

Serendipity photo. Stopped to take a picture of this cool tree and all this activity converged in a split second.
Do you have a "how I work" statement where you can send prospects (or where new people can stumble across it)?
