So far, Marathon is really good except for when it's not, which is a concerning amount of the time

i do think some of this will improve with time. some of it already has for me in one long session. but the game feels like it has real legibility issues in several areas of UX (something on this coming soon) that are textbook Bungie markers
my counterpoint is that i can't see a damn thing (types of loot, bots vs enemy players, lootable containers in many rooms, etc)
i barely play pokemon and said the same thing

Itβs been long enough that so many people havenβt read what I consider foundational pieces of games criticism

Could not be more obvious that the new CEO of one of the three console platforms does not know what to do with it. Surrounded by birds, Microsoft appointed a fish to fly.

Review-in-progress from me. So far, a fairly serviceable Metroidvania that has me longing to return to Blasphemous or other much more brutal and less tame genre adventures. Hoping it can grab me later on.
Genuinely one of the cleverest small details I've seen in a strategy game
louder for the people in the back
I've heard a lot of stories of devs having unrealistic ideas or features dropped on them by higher-ups who saw something cool, but I think this is the first time I've heard of someone doing it so much that their requests get their own personal Jira category.

Five hours into the Nioh 3 demo, I'm very impressed. The first game was fine, the second one was good, but this one has a shot at real greatness.
Oppositely: Last night I soloed a Bastion. It had killed another player at the end. A third player walked up and took 6 of my Bastion cores from the parts. I used bandages to stabilize the downed guy to extract. Thief followed. At extract I killed the thief. Downed guy ran out of time. Yay 6 cores!
