A couple of tips that I always forget to use, but just saved me a refactor and turned a type 1 decision into a type 2.
* If you find yourself stuck, say in plain words what you're trying to do.
* Draw it on the board, whether a picture, graph, diagram, or matrix.

#Gamedev Lessons It Took Me 20 Years to Learn #2: Attitude is Everything. I used to hate this one. I was insulted it wasn't skill or hard work. But I misunderstood. It just means that, kind of like air in your tires, without a positive attitude, *everything* will be harder and less enjoyable.
Thanks! I refactored everything to make interactions with the world more fluid.
