I called Amy Klobuchar to say that Markwayne Mullin is an idiot who should not be confirmed. Once again reminding her that she needs the metro vote to win the gov race. Maybe you should too.

Local MSP: I am looking for a secondhand bike for my kid (who is an adult, lol): men’s road bike or mountain bike, not sure of frame size but he’s 5’10”. Anyone got a lead for me before I dip into Marketplace? TIA
You could consider setting up a ride where you live!
Railroad guy and attorney (until WWII, after which army guy). Both sons of farmers.
Hey birds
I think the whole thing becomes realia, maybe
It is a beautiful book, and it was surprising to me in its level of detail. Perfect for informational reading in 5th grade! 😊
Regrettably, all of this.
Fair enough. :) GSUSA works also, and I do take your point. (It is a particular axe to grind for me.)
100 percent this.
(Except that it is Girl Scouts USA. Please tell your friends.)
Bingo.
(Not to be pedantic but it is Girl Scouts USA, and the org is part of WAGGGS, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. We are legion, we are diverse, and we are everywhere. “Girl Scouts of America” is not a thing.)
This is amazing. NYC wins today. :)
Not an MPS constituent (I am nearby but not in the city), but I would guess the cost of health insurance is a nonzero factor. Def not the ONLY thing, but I think it’s the biggest thing that’s changed since last spring (which would’ve been the last time pink slips went out — as it is annual).
There’s so much good food on the east side :)
This is gold, thank you so much! (I had Kurdish neighbors growing up, I do know that food a little bit!)
Hey, MSP: where am I taking my family for a birthday dinner in St Paul tonight? Ordway at 7:30, so earlyish and not too far from downtown. Would love your suggestions.
I kinda gave up trying to explain to people who don’t live here
It does that really well! It was not the right thing for my family, but BOY can I see the utility for many families and kids!
There’s not much published in that lane, and I think COLOR TASTE TEXTURE is a pretty important book. :)
I had to document some things today and it was Not Great.
But all my kids were here for dinner, and there was cake, and my husband arranged a cameo video of Andy Merrill (Brak) for me, and I took tomorrow off and I think I’m going to the Conservatory & getting Thai food for lunch.
That’s fair, thank you for saying so.
This is not a climate where joking about these things is going to land well.
Looks like Stewart may want to be today’s main character.
(I am already enraged with a different mediocre white man today, he’s lucky I didn’t swear at him)
School librarians are licensed teachers, often with advanced degrees, who teach students how to access, process, and share information from many and varied sources. Bookshelves can’t do that, Stewart.
The library without a librarian is neither curated nor fully resourced. It is just a room.

I’m not Catholic anymore and I answer questions for a living, so you let me know if you can’t abide waiting 😉

I am very bad at relaxing, but tonight I got all cozy on the couch and knitted while watching the women’s biathlon relay until my eyes got crispy AND THEN I FELL ASLEEP ON MY COUCH. France wins, Christie wins, everyone wins. 💤
I bought a rice cooker when I was confident I could cook rice on the stove.
Five solid-colored felt houses, one gray felt mouse, and a felt wedge of orange Swiss-type cheese
Good grief I am TIRED. Here is the picture!
