I love how we're supposed to excuse his behavior because of a prior incident, but Good trying to drive away from attacking ICE agents in masks, armor, and with weapons, well, she was supposed to remain calm and in total control of her actions at all times.
For years, my more radical liberal friends tried to tell me "they are the same party," and I didn't want to believe them.
This 56 year old was so wrong. Seeing photos like this makes me glad I re-registered as unaffiliated two years ago. It also makes me sick that there is no real opposition party.
I think you underestimate the capacity for Republican voters to excise from their memory anything that's even mildly uncomfortable to think about when it comes to morals or morality or consistency of ideology.
You KNOW that's exactly what's going to happen. Too terrified of pissing off those who support the criminals.
I'm sure they'll appoint some weak-willed independent prosecutor to "look into it" in a nice slow walk until the next GOP administration is voted back into power.
She's "objecting" because she can probably snow over everyone in the administration, or she thinks she can. Later on, she can claim she's "on record" as having been against what was going on.

His obvious panic about this does give me some comfort. I look forward to the end of this era. MAGA will be with us for a while, unfortunately, but ideally, I'll never again have to hear/read comments such as this from the leader of the so-called free world in my lifetime.

I'm all for it, but we shouldn't forget that any judgments would come from the Judgment Fund, meaning it's funded by US taxpayers. So again - we're the ones who get screwed by this administration's incompetence.
It leaves out how much DOGE actually wasted at the expense of US taxpayers.

Nope. We can't be expected to follow every bit of criming associated with this administration. It's too much for any human mind. I missed it too.
The argument is - GOP knows now they're going to lose, so they'll just burn it all down. They're relying on Trump's voter suppression down the road now. They had zero incentive to cave, and Dems were sick of seeing people suffer w/no SNAP. That's the argument. Not sure it's legit, but there it is.

Right, but all the GOP out here in Nassau and Suffolk counties will likely vote for her. It's going to be up to NYC to come out for Hochul. Hopefully the Mamdani endorsement helped, but the Hochul/Mamdani connection will have to show results for New Yorkers over the next 12 months.
What's so fitting is that if she had just stayed a "normal" Republican, she actually might have had a better chance against Hochul. But she sold her soul.
