If only we could get them to help the average Albertans struggling to afford to live in the province we keep running.

Do not look up.
Do not wonder at our place in the cosmos.
Do not dream or look for constellations that inspire.
Do not believe we, the only concious life in the universe (afawk), are special.
Do not feel connected to the universe.

It's disgusting is what it is. If anyone in her party had a whiff of shame they'd boot her and her cronies.

being literally wealthier than kings and monarchical dynasties with no corresponding social obligations is extremely corrosive to both the individual and the body politic, and taking 95% of everything elon musk has would be better for him, personally.

I do believe that you should have to live in the riding you represent. I"m torn on the call a byelection issue, if you're representing your constituents in they way they want the side you sit on shouldn't matter but with this identity fusion we're seeing people vote party over best representation.

Our modern literacy crisis has found a new figurehead in Emerald Fennell's "Wuthering Heights". It's Emily BrontΓ«'s 1847 classic for a culture that's denigrated literature to the point where it's no longer intended to expand the mind but to distract it.
With its title stylised in quotation marks, and a director's statement that it's intended to capture her experience of reading the book aged 14, it uses the guise of interpretation to gut one of the most impassioned, emotionally violent novels ever written, and then toss its flayed skin over whatever romance tropes seem most marketable. Adaptation or not, it's an astonishingly hollow work.

You may be having a bad day but at least The Independent didn’t refer to you as the figurehead of the modern literacy crisis.

If I got this review I would simply disappear into a puff of dust.

a bunch of different outfit pieces from the 2018 olympics for Canada. Heroic red, dark blocks of black, and a little white accent are what dominates these jackets and shirts, a few also offer a buffalo check too

minor drama:

a year ago, the historic Hudson's Bay Company was destroyed by venture capitalists, and they were the traditional olympic outfitter. The company was of course evil but they came around to acknowledging their history in their later years, and the 2018 olympic outfit was fire:

Read it. Then scroll down to the MP who is backing it.

And then, once you stop laughing, gleefully sign it.

He had a monopoly on the male friends market it seems. Since he's dead there should be a glut of available friends.

(Heavy sarcasm for anyone questioning it, don't make friends with anyone who was a "friend" with Jeffrey Epstein.)

I watched Schindler's list a few months ago. The way officers are treating people. I'm struggling to see how what's happening in Minneapolis is any different.

No officer brown shirt you need to realize that she treated you humanely. If she was anything like you she wouldn't have rendered aid bu because she's so much better than you she did the morally right thing.
