got another "i wish i could draw" comment this week and i am yelling the same thing i am always yelling: drawing is a technical skill. it's teachable and learnable and it is never "too late" to start picking it up
frankly the fact that the literally racist party reform got as many votes as they did here is... concerning.
arguably the easiest sprite work but still impressive to do. my question is, if you can clearly MAKE SPRITES why are you still using gen AI?
the funny part is that since this the dev has deleted his posts about the game on reddit, hid the sub reddit for one of his previous ai-made games, and posted a video of him making the sprite inspired by locke. but not verbally addressing anything.

because a lot of dating sims or meet games, you need to often min max your skills, money, etc to get the ending you want. life ain't like that haha
but saying that, people assumed DDLC was a controlled, kawaii school slice of life with 'some' aspect of something darker. so it's entirely possibly to flip that concept around and frankly it's a great idea!
none of the 10+ games i had clicked on mentioned placeholding. just said that gen AI was used, and then variations on to what extent - text, visuals, whether it was then 'refined' by hand. funny that part, since i could tell, so clearly not very refined.
