When I add up all my ride shares, and public transport fares, it does not equal the cost of a car note, insurance, gas, and parking in my city, and I actually think my ancestors would be proud of my frugality and relative lower impact on the climate.

Finding out that the so freakin many authors I mainlined as a kid were problematic as hell IRL hurt. I empathize with those who find reconciling those truths & coming to terms with your own connection to those harms difficult. Ignoring the harm does nothing to help it only furthers the soul tarnish.
