What I did recently instead of doomscrolling:

1. Puzzled over describing the taste of a grilled cheese sandwich. I mean, it tastes like... cheese. And bread.

2. Made TINY progress in my scary sewing-first-jacket project.

3. Dropped off glasses in photo to finally have prescription lenses!

Aw, thanks so much - not pictured, my black and white striped pants. (When I'm finished sewing my crabby seagull shirt, I'll wear them together!)

Price info for the curious: the pattern was $37 CAD and 1 meter of 55" wide fabric (I'm making a #CameronButtonUp and can mix with cheaper solid color if necessary) was $33 CAD (includes tax and shipping but was $18 off for my first fabric order.)

It's time.

Colin, the comrade running the shelter-in-place food program I'm working at, told me that this week he's had to turn down asks from schools to supply food directly to their sheltering families. The reason? There's not enough money coming in for that amount of food.

Let's change that.
