Telling stories of games and the people who play them, I love what I do and where I do it. Broadcaster. Writer. Husband. Father. Human being. Constantly trying to be better at all of the above. This is my personal account. www.bobsocci.com

Thirteen Patriots seasons. None more enjoyable (despite its disappointing ending), nor more appreciated than that which just came to pass. Unexpected in September, it was a 4 1/2-month football joyride. Thanks to all who made it happen and shared it with us on @985thesportshub.bsky.social
Canβt wait for kickoff.
Good day for a reminder. Buy local. Support small businesses. Order at @bookshop.org. And support local, independent journalism. It looks out for even those who don't look out for it.
Pinned lizzie johnson @lizziejohnsonnn Β· Aug 19, 2021 Almost three years ago, my editor called me early one November morning. A wildfire had sparked near a town called Paradise, he said. Could I go? (1/13) 0:02 / 0:10 lizzie johnson @lizziejohnsonnn Β· 47m I was just laid off by The Washington Post in the middle of a warzone. I have no words. I'm devastated. Quote lizzie johnson @lizziejohnsonnn Β· Jan 25 Waking up without power, heat, or running water. (Again.) But the work here in Kyiv continues. A publisher who lays off a reporter whose pen is freezing because she's covering a frigid war zone while dodging missiles is not an editor you want to work for, in a more perfect world

Being an FBI agent wasnβt a job to former Bear Charles Tillman as much as it was a vocation. He loved the people he worked with and found honor, integrity and nobility in their service. Then came that day last January. My story. www.nytimes.com/athletic/689...
With respect to all other daily sports sections, the consistent quality of @washingtonpost.com reporting and writing and the scope and importance of its stories β from preps to pros β has been unrivaled in my nearly 30 years as a reader and subscriber. #SaveThePost
Welcome to GilletteStadium on NFL #WildCardWeekend.
Coach of the Year?
The Patriots Mike Vrabel, who regularly signs autographs and interacts with fans, took a moment before Sundayβs game for a selfie (or, for fellow Ted Lasso fans, an βussieβ).
Then his team went out and gave the entire home crowd a 14th win to celebrate.
Equally outstanding on any sport, on any platform, as we were reminded (again!) last night. And more than an exemplar, Seanβs long been a generous source of advice and insights for others in this field and an advocate for local voices working in neighboring booths. Long overdue.
Unfortunately, I did not. Nor did I see the tie earlier today at Selhurst. Watching Sunderland trying to deny City three points as I type.
Best to you and yours in 2026!
Cheers! And congrats! 4-1 over Villa is some way to usher out the old year.
Sorry!
@nh-gooner.bsky.social Big one today. Good luck on getting those three points. Iβll be looking forward to Monday Night Football from Craven Cottage :)
Thank you. Arsenal!
Busmanβs holiday. In Orchard Park for Bengals at Bills with Brandon Noble for Sports USA Radio.
A few minutes of good fortune, then about 92 minutes of holding my breath. Allβs well that ends well, especially in your part of North London! Good luck tomorrow!
As @christopherprice.bsky.social writes (beautifully), a story about giving of oneself and acting out of empathy and kindness. A story worth your time.
@nh-gooner.bsky.social Congrats on a good weekend for Arsenal!
Good on Kyle Dugger for taking advantage of his new opportunity in Pittsburgh.
Whatever the outcomes elsewhere, it's fun again to watch the scoreboard on a rare Sunday off.
Welcome to Foxborough.
Pats finish 4-0 against the NFC South (Carolina, New Orleans, Atlanta and Tampa Bay). Pats were 5-16 in previous 21 games vs. NFC.
They miss Antonee Robinson.
Appreciate it, butβ¦as I watch while waiting to go to the airport for tomorrowβs game, I feel like Iβve seen this before. Though Iβm now hooked on Sunderland βTil I Die, I wish you and your Gunners good luck!
Congrats, @nh-gooner.bsky.social on a great football weekend for you! Liverpool loses, Pats win and Eze strikes for Arsenal in a win over Palace!
