Definitely, the aftermath gives meaning. How does the death affect the characters who loved or hated the dead? What did their road to healing from the grief look like? Did they recover? How were they changed? How did those in grief affect others around them? Death is never straightforward.

I feel it deeply, too. Needless suffering of the many.

The passion that arises as I create a story makes writing intoxicating. The characters feed that passion. I have written scenes that were painfully difficult, including the death of a MC. Death is a part of life, sadly, not only for the bad, and it may come needlessly. Its aftermath is important.

I came across the word incommunicado in the book I'm currently reading, and it jabbed me. To me, it felt pretentious and also out of place, like it belongs to the John Wick franchise.

Mrs. James is a baker. She's always whipping up treats for her friends.
Ewin loves her pets. She has five cats, a bunch or reptiles, and nine birds, her favorite is a toucan named Lamar.
Trisha likes to be controlling, scheming for things that are not hers.
They love coffee and reading in the den.

I keep reading too much, that my brain can't keep it all straight. It can take hours to recall a bit of info I once knew so well. But once in a while I surprise myself with a quick response. Those are lovely, reassuring times.

Glimmering guilt slowly gnaws at my gut, not willing to #impede my mental health by spending time with siblings. I should feel right for staying away, but societal norms say otherwise, as if it's selfish not to feed them any of my remaining scraps of sanctity.

I knew it was going to be bad, but I didn't believe it would be like living under the Cruciatus Curse. Suffer unless you capitulate!

The Color Purple by Alice Walker ~ To me, it's an epitome of great literature. Enlightenment of a different world. A story that opens our eyes to harsh truths and the resilience needed to survive.

Same! I rather page through a book than an Ebook, but with limited shelf space and cash, I tend to buy Ebooks.

At our house, the main source of nonfiction reading was the World Book Encyclopedias. However, my parents subscribed to National Geographic, which I recall liking its eye-opening articles on exotic sites and all sorts of wild animals. A nice memory!

Being the youngest of four siblings, I received a lot of hand me downs, and books were one of them. In having two older brothers my options were mostly from Franklin W Dixon's, The Hardy Boys series. I can't complain, because I did enjoy their mystery adventures. I still like a good mystery novel.

Two books really stuck with me. My first horror book was Green Eggs and Hamβ€”I was a finicky eater. :) Then Charlotte's Web. The mix of unexpected friendships brought about a fun, warm adventure, while the suspense and tension of saving Wilbur created an engaging thriller.

Hi. I'm Fay. I'm not sure how I became a reader. It seems like an intuitive thing I enjoy. I like how you can go on an adventure and burrow into the minds of others. Now, I write. It's something I've always desired to do, and now, being older, I have the time to do it. It's a passion.

Back in the day, I qualified for the Child Tax Credit, and I claimed it. It allowed me to squeak by financially and enroll in courses to get a better-paying job, and in the end, I paid higher taxes, superseding the received benefit. I look back on it as a hand-up, not a hand-outβ€”a win for everyone!

Reagan clears the fuzziness surrounding trade barriers.
Spoiler alert: Tariffs are a quick tool for political advantage but ultimately destroys prosperity and economic growth, hurting American workers and consumers.
