Seeing them shows me about said person and how they see themselves and the world around them.
You can draw your representation of yourself however you want, to best represent who you are. You can draw yourself doing things that you enjoy. I don’t think it’s selfish at all and love seeing peoples fursonas/etc.
I don’t mean this in a mean way, I understand the feeling you’re expressing. And I don’t think our feelings are “wrong”. But I do think you’re looking at it from the wrong angle. Including a representation of yourself in your art (or whatever) is self expression!
