I just need to figure out the border, and then I can start cutting. But I’m back to my day job tomorrow, so that’s a next week problem.

Today’s task: add the surrounding foliage to this linocut design and maybe get it transferred to the lino.

ANYWAY, there’s a promo going on…

Hey, so you might have seen me repost the odd promo from Yearn, which is a new app for fantasy romance that’s attempting to challenge KU (and be better for both authors and readers).

Tomorrow I have an appointment to learn how to stick myself with needles. I am both excited and apprehensive.

I have a story featuring my swamp witch in this, if you like that sort of thing.

I was very pleased with myself for getting my newsletter done after work today. Then I realized I didn’t even mention the anthology I’m in that’s coming out. 😫

Applied to two art shows today. I forgot how long it takes to do those things.

I woke up to an anthology acceptance this morning, so that’s pretty cool.

First attempt. The type is smeared because the paper shifted when I put brown paper and a press blanket over it. Now contemplating how to avoid this.

And the rest…

Last colour (not counting the type). I mixed the dark red I had leftover into black to get a sooty dark purple.

Final cutting on this reduction in progress. Maybe I’ll even get it finished today?

I’m thinking about adding some type on the mat and popping this thing in an antique frame. Just because.

One more colour on this, but two runs (once for the lino and once for the type on a different press).

I got an anthology acceptance today. It’s a small local publisher and pays in copies, but I’m still pretty pleased.
