I hope that the anime is more faithful to the original, and I hope a sequel is not created for the movie. The actors did pretty well with what they had, but man... what they had was super garbo.

As a fan of the original series, it deffo falls at a 2/10. The one point is for Gilyoung, who was so cute with the little antenna finger things.

From someone who didn't know the series, it's still only 2/10. Some action almost looked cool, but the movie overall kinda sucked.

the last big fight was pretty, they say, but confusing to watch. Even I was confused watching the movements going on lol, where did the outer space come from? Why did they move like martial artists in classic martial art films, those guys in suits just like... flying like that...

The characters don't spend enough time with each to develop relationships, the cg were strange, continuity was screwed (the zombies from behind...), and the scenarios were confusing. The pace was too fast for my friend to try to grasp the universe they were in. But at least-

How would this movie even continue, if it were to get a sequel, with so many plot points edited?

I went with someone who had never read the OG, and they were mostly just confused! Nothing is explained, everything is just happening and jumps to the next happening.

Like I said, sure ok, make some changes to make this story a better fit for a screen, but why change reasons, motivations, interactions, personalities of these characters that people clearly loved when they were written in the LN and comic.

Bihyung was reduced to an inventory. The constellations were just background thoughts. Things that never rly get touched upon. Why did dokja have so many offers for sponsor btw?? Sangah and Heewon... were something like a soup you add too much water to, reduced and uninteresting.

story to make it enjoyable as someone who DID read the story. The characters were.... different. It's like it was a parallel universe. This character has dokja's name, look, but that guy is not the one I read about. No book skills, his love for the novel changed?

I get some changes they made were probably to make it easier to digest for non-orv readers, but... too many things were changed, shortened, or completely discarded from the original-
